Old school-styled crooner here. Not bad. The song below is titled “Another Day,” but no it’s not the brilliant song of the same name by Dream Theater.

This group cracks me up. It’s like a mix of indie/pop/80’s dance/soft soul/groove, etc. Seems like a novelty band, but I don’t really think it is. Entertaining enough though I suppose.

Indie punk-pop. I’m not a huge fan, but they have a nice grasp of melody and make enjoyable tunes.

Five points if you know the answer to the band’s name. BEER! At least that’s what I say. WMMF is a local Austin band that plays the kind of indie pop you’ve heard time and time again. That doesn’t mean it’s bad, but it’s decent enough for what it is.

Happy birthday to me!
Definitely not excited about the artist that accompanies my birthday. M. Ward is a Portland, Oregon-based singer/songwriter, and I just don’t enjoy it. But, there’s a lot of s/s’s that I’m not into it, so what are you gonna do?

These guys play pretty much every year at ACL, but they’re a staple, and they’re not half bad, so give ‘em a go.

Mason Jennings is on the record label of “I play at nearly every festival” singer-songwriter Jack Johnson, so use that as a warning of what to expect from Mason. Pretty standard singer-songwriter fare that reminded me a bit of Bob Dylan in its presentation, but not as effective.

When I saw that this band was from Ohio, I had high hopes, simply because Over The Rhine also hails from Ohio and is amazing. However, HB was not so much. If you’re into simpleton-style garage rock, then this will probably rock your socks, but I don’t really dig it all. I’m not a fan of the vocals and the music is just too “heard it before” for me to thoroughly enjoy.

Cool group here. Very energetic and rhythmic throughout the entire performance. This is one that will definitely get your blood pumping and your body moving.

This one kinda caught me off guard, but it’s a Cuban jazz sensation. Check it.
