This Austin rapper is apparently ridiculously prolific, according to the ACL website, which says:

“Bavu Blakes was voted Best Hip-Hop Act at the 2006 Austin Music Awards. In addition to moonlighting (or daylighting) as a freelance journalist and being an on-air personality and the urban music director for Time Warner’s Music and Entertainment Television, Blakes is frightfully prolific in the studio. By the time 2008 is done, he will have released three albums — Extraplair, Too Selfish and the spiritually themed World Trade (a collaboration with Austin’s Element7D) — and uploaded 52 tracks (one a week) to his Web site.”
